Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before purchasing. By purchasing Tickets, you are agreeing to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Definitions
“The Frac Club” means RacehorsesNZ Frac Club Management Ltd and RacehorsesNZ Frac Club Ltd.
“Tickets”means admission tickets to public areas, racecourse stands, and / or specified hospitality areas with defined hospitality packages, or such other rooms, events or products provided by The Frac Club at a Venue.
“Venue” means Riccarton Park Racecourse, as specified on the admission ticket.
“Event” means The Frac Club event for the Koral Steeplechase at Riccarton Park Racecourse on 2 August 2025, as specified on the admission ticket.
2. Agreement
2.1 Bookings are subject to the availability of the requested hospitality area and will not be reserved or confirmed until online purchase and full payment is received in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
2.2 Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, subject to these Terms & Conditions and any obligations The Frac Club owes to any consumer under applicable consumer law.
3. Payment
3.1 All bookings for Tickets must be accompanied by full payment in the form of direct credit or by credit card.
3.2 GST will apply to all goods and services supplied where applicable. Prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST unless otherwise stated.
3.3 All Ticket must be consumed within the timeframe as stipulated by The Frac Club.
(a) Packages inclusive of beverages - The Frac Club accepts no responsibility for late arrivals and the package duration may not be extended beyond the stipulated time under any circumstances. You must provide credit card details or cash for payment of beverages consumed past that time.
4. Health and Safety
4.1 The Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 requires visitors to take reasonable care that their actions (or lack of action) do not put themselves or others at risk and to follow any reasonable health and safety instructions given to them by The Frac Club.
4.2 Be aware that horses are a hazard on site during racedays. Horses can be aggressive, they can kick out, stand on you and bite. Always be watchful where horses are present. Follow all instructions given by The Frac Club personnel when moving in areas where horses may be present. Stay away from unauthorised access areas unless authorised to do so.
5. Use of facilities
5.1 The serving and consumption of alcohol is subject to liquor licensing laws including the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its requirements. The management and staff of The Frac Club believe that they have a responsibility to provide an environment that is not only comfortable and welcoming but is also where alcohol is served responsibly. With that in mind, the Riccarton Park Host Responsibility Policy has been implemented and applies to all events held at the Venue.
5.2 The Venue is a fully licensed venue. “BYO” alcohol is not permitted in any areas, including the infield.
5.3 A dress code applies to all hospitality areas and events oncourse and is enforced. Anyone not adhering to the dress code will not be permitted to enter hospitality areas/events. Please refer to the Riccarton Park website for further information.
5.4 Promotional photographs and film footage is taken on racedays. By entering the Venue, you consent to the use of your image by The Frac Club for promotional purposes.
6. Facility signage
6.1 No branding or signage is permitted in any general or shared room facility.
7. Issue of tickets
7.1 All tickets are e-tickets, meaning you can print at home when suits. Alternatively, you can show your ticket on the day via your phone provided your screen is in good condition.
7.2 The issue of tickets to a particular facility does not permit entry to any other private facility. However, you may access and utilise public areas.
7.3 The Frac Club will not accept responsibility for misplaced, lost or stolen tickets previously issued. Any replacement tickets will be issued at the sole discretion of the The Frac Club, and The Frac Club reserves the right to charge for the replacement of any tickets issued.
8. Display of tickets
8.1 Correct ticketing must be displayed at all times and/or on request. Failure to comply will result in entry being refused or removal from the Venue.
9. On selling
9.1 You may not on-sell your ticket. Tickets found to be on-sold will be cancelled.
10. Conditions of entry
10.1 The Frac Club has the right to deny entry into, or remove ticket holders from, a raceday where The Frac Club has reasonable grounds to do so, including any breach of these Terms & Conditions, including, but not limited to, intoxication, being under the influence of illicit drugs, being inappropriately attired or deemed by management to be adversely affecting the enjoyment of the raceday by others.
10.2 You may be required to consent to a search of your person and/or possessions before entering the Raceday, and an identification check at any time. Any refusal may see you refused entry to the Venue, or any facility or area within the Venue, or may require you to leave the Venue. No refund of any part of any ticketed event or activity will apply.
10.3 Entry to the raceday may be refused if the authenticity or validity of a ticket is questionable, including because the ticket has been damaged or defaced in any way, or has not been purchased from The Frac Club directly.
110 Alterations to the Raceday
11.1 Some hospitality areas are outdoors. In such cases, no alternative facilities are available in the event of unfavourable weather.
11.2 If any part of the Raceday including, without limitation, a race meeting, any race, performance or event is cancelled, abandoned or postponed, in whole or in part, due to adverse weather or for any other reason whatsoever that is beyond The Frac Club's control, there is no right to refund or exchange and no obligation is assumed by The Frac Club for the arrangement of a substitute event, performance or any other element.
11.3 If The Frac Club does provide a comparable facility on the rescheduled day The Frac Club is not liable to refund your ticket price.
11.4 Programmes, menus and the duration and timing of performances, events and other activities at the Raceday may be subject to alteration without notice. The Frac Club reserves the right to vary, add, withdraw or substitute advertised programmes, menus, seating arrangements and/or facilities at any time.
11.5 Under no circumstances will The Frac Club be liable to you if The Frac Club is unable to perform its obligations under these Terms & Conditions due to any event or cause beyond the reasonable control of The Frac Club.
13. General
13.1 All representations and warranties, whether expressed or implied are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects a Client's rights under applicable consumer law, to the extent that the Client is a consumer for the purposes of the Consumer Guarantees Act.
13.2 These Terms & Conditions are governed by New Zealand law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
13.3 The Frac Club may collect personal information from you, and if it does so, it will collect and store that information in accordance with the The Frac Club Privacy Policy available on Riccarton Park’s website. Contact details provided when purchasing Tickets and Hospitality Packages can be used by The Frac Club for promotional, marketing and research purposes.
14.0 Non-Raceday events and tickets
14.1 All events booked through the The Frac Club Ticket Store for events that do not occur on a Raceday are governed by their own set of Terms and Conditions. Please refer to individual event pages for full terms of these events.
